Due to an extraordinary response and high demand, DCAP’s Financing Assistance pathway is now closed to applicants that fall under tiers 2 and 3. DCAP’s Scrap and Replace option, Clean Cars 4 All, is still open and accepting applications. Visit the Eligibility Page and FAQ for additional details.

In 2025, DCAP continued expanding hands-on EV education across the state through Ride & Drive (R&D) events. From San Bernardino to Bishop to Eureka , residents received real opportunities to explore EVs, ask questions, and experience clean-air vehicles in person.

Across all 2025 R&D events, DCAP supported:

  • 153+ test drives
  • 147+ ride a longs
  • 300+ total participants

These community-based touchpoints help drivers compare EV models, understand charging and range, and build confidence in transitioning to clean transportation.
